The In-Town Basketball League is an organized recreational basketball program for kids currently enrolled in Middle School through High School.
The Middle School Leagues are divided up by 5th/6th graders and 7th/8th graders.
The High School League is a mix of 9th-12th graders.
We will need volunteer coaches for all leagues. If you are available and interested, please be sure to check that section off in the Q&A's.
There will be a weekly 1 hour practice for each team during the week and a game on Saturday afternoons. Practice and game times will vary throughout the season and take place at either Clarke or Diamond Middle School. You will receive the specific dates and times of all scheduled practices and games for the league. You will receive the schedule by mid-November.
There will be a formation night prior to the start of the official games. The formation night is when the teams will compete against each other to see how balanced they are. After the session, the coaches will discuss to see if any players can be moved around to try to have fair teams for the season. Formation night is scheduled for mid-November prior to the Thanksgiving break.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken it upon ourselves to offer fun and engaging programs while maintaining a level of safety and cleanliness that will ensure a safe program. We are thankful that we are able to reintroduce this program this fall. With this in mind, it is essential for the safety procedures and protocols that are currently in place to be followed at all times. Per Dr. Hackett’s announcement on August 2nd, a face mask is required to be worn when inside a school building, so participants must wear a face mask AT ALL TIMES when in the school facility.
