Spring NFL FLAG Football League • Register • View Cart •

This program is prioritized for Lexington residents. Registration for residents will open on Tuesday, February 25th at 6:00am.

Non-residents will be eligible to register starting on Tuesday, March 11th at 6:00am.

NFL FLAG Football is a popular five-on-five game filled with fun and action. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship. Participants in each age group will be divided into teams of 8-12 players, coached by volunteer parents.

Please be sure to indicate if you would like to be a volunteer for the season during registration. Volunteer coaches will receive coaching content from the TeamSnap app.

The season will run from April 27 - June 8 (no games on Sunday, May 25). Weekly session includes a 15-minute warm up/practice session, followed by a 45-minute game. The 1st/2nd grade division and 3rd/4th grade division games will take place on Sunday nights at Lincoln Park from 6:30-7:30pm. The 5th/6th grade division, 7th/8th grade division, and Unified High School division games will take place on Sunday nights from 7:30-8:30pm under the lights. Game schedules will be released prior to the season via the TeamSnap app.


Unified Flag Football: 

This spring, the department is piloting a new unified high school league that will pair athletes (individuals with disabilities) and partners (individuals without disabilities) together on the field for fun and safe flag football experience. Athletes and partners must meet the following guidelines for participation: 

- a desire to participate and an interest in football
- the ability to independently follow 1-2 step familiar directions 
- the ability to manage emotions and behaviors with minimal intervention 
- a positive reference from a physical education teacher, counselor, coach or any other individual who has seen you in a recreation setting

Participants will receive a game jersey and mouth guard. The jerseys do run a little small, so please be sure to go up a size if you are unsure. Please refer to the attached image or visit the NFL Flag website for more details regarding sizing. Cleats can be worn (non-metal) or sneakers, and a mouth guard must be used.
