Come boost your brain and have fun with your friends when you learn Mahjong with our volunteers from Lexington High School's Chinese Games for Seniors club. This is an introduction to the game of Mahjong!
Chinese Games for Seniors Program fosters intergenerational connections between Lexington seniors and teens through Chinese games. CGS teen members teach seniors how to play traditional Chinese games such as Mahjong, free of charge, for community service hours. CGS currently volunteers at the Lexington Community Center once a week to teach seniors the rules, strategy, and culture behind Mahjong, but is looking to expand to more Chinese games and locations. Each class typically holds 8-16 seniors and 2-5 CGS teachers.
