Every June, Pride Month is a time to celebrate the history, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the progress made and the work that still lies ahead in the fight for equality.?Join us for a special screening of Gen Silent, a powerful documentary that sheds light on the experiences of older LGBTQ+ individuals. After a lifetime of fighting for their rights, many now face challenges in the healthcare system that leave them feeling isolated—or even forced back into the closet.?This event, co-sponsored by the Cary Memorial Library, is open to all. A discussion will follow the film, and light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
