Tai Chi with Constance
Tai Chi, often referred to as meditation-in-motion, is an ancient mind-body practice influenced by martial arts, traditional Chinese medicine, and Taoist philosophy. This weight-bearing exercise, appropriate for all ages and abilities, has multiple health benefits that include strengthening bones, improving balance, and managing stress.
Level I
An introduction to the eight active ingredients of Tai Chi, the fundamental principles upon which Tai Chi is based. In addition, learn the basic elements of the Cheng Man Ching 37-posture form.
Level II
Introduction and practice of longer segments of the Cheng Man Ching 37-posture form. Prerequisite: Level I or consent of instructor. Both levels may be taken together.
About the Instructor
Constance Marina completed the teacher-training certification program in 2025 from the Tree of Life Tai Chi studio in Watertown, MA. The Tree of Life studio was founded by Dr. Peter Wayne, the director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, a collaboration between Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Constance has a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University and has worked as an independent scholar and translator. She continues to study at the Tree of Life studio and at the Red Panda Institute in Watertown. Constance looks forward to sharing her love of Tai Chi and all of the health benefits its practice offers.
