Lexington Symphony: Beethoven Septet
Tuesday, November 25, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Scored for strings, clarinet, bassoon and French horn, the Opus 20 Septet is one of Beethoven's most popular chamber works. First performed in 1800, it is a great example of Beethoven taking the classical style of the Divertimento and bringing his more romantic complexity to the form. This program is provided by a Dana Home Foundation grant.
