LexRec Day Camp is an engaging Summer Day Camp for children and teens entering grades K through 8. The camps provide developmentally appropriate programming that support recreation, skill – building and social connections.
LexRec Day Camp is offered at two locations – The Lexington Community Center (formerly T.N.C.) and the Center Recreation Complex (formerly S.O.A.R.).
LexRec Day Camp at Center Recreation Complex - is an inclusive, outdoor-based summer camp for children in grades K–8, with activities intentionally designed for each age group. Campers participate in swim instruction, collaborative games, and classic summer fun, with each day offering new experiences that encourage creativity and connection with peers. Upper Camp, designed for middle schoolers, focuses on growing independence through community trips and off-site adventures. LexRec Day Camp at Community Center - is an inclusive indoor-based summer camp designed for children entering grades K-3 who enjoy creativity, hands-on learning, and cooperative play. This camp provides a structured and engaging environment focused on exploration, collaboration, and fun. Campers participate in a variety of arts and crafts, STEAM activities, creative projects, and games that encourage problem-solving, imagination, and teamwork. Programming is developmentally appropriate and designed to support social skill-building, creativity, and positive peer interactions throughout the week.
* This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local Board of Health.
LexRec Day Camp: Center Rec - Primary Camp (Grades K-1)
Primary Camp (Grades K–1) is a supportive and fun introduction to the day camp experience. Campers enjoy a structured week filled with age-appropriate activities including swim instruction utilizing Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum, arts and crafts, games, and imaginative play. With an emphasis on routines, friendship-building, and learning through play, Primary Camp provides a nurturing environment where younger campers can build confidence, develop social skills, and have a positive and engaging summer experience.

Campers enjoy a dynamic schedule that utilizes Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum, sports, group games, creative activities, and group-based challenges. Programming emphasizes skill-building, leadership, and peer connection while encouraging independence and responsibility in a supportive, inclusive environment. Middle Camp provides an engaging and active week where campers can try new activities, strengthen friendships, and grow their confidence.

LexRec Day Camp: Center Rec - Upper Camp (Grades 6-8)
Upper Camp (Grades 6–8) offers an adventure-based experience designed to promote independence, leadership, and exploration. Campers will participate in community outings, local trips, and on-site adventures, engaging with the town and surrounding areas while enjoying recreational and social activities tailored to older youth. Campers will experience group games and challenges, swimming, arts and crafts, along with cooperative and social activities.
