3:45 PM - 5:30 PM    Swim Lessons - Adaptive - Session 1: July 6th - July 23rd
Adaptive swim lessons are designed for individuals with a diagnosed disability or medical condition who require individualized instruction. Classes meet twice per week for a three-week session and are tailored to each participant's unique abilities, learning style, and goals. Because participants have varying skill levels and individualized objectives, these lessons do not follow  the American Red Cross curriculum and participants will not "pass" or "complete" specific swim levels. Instruction focuses on developing water safety awareness, building swimming skills, increasing comfort and confidence in the water, and working toward individualized goals identified by the participant, family, and instructor. Lessons are adapted to meet each swimmers needs while promoting success, independence, and enjoyment in the aquatic environment with the support of Instructors who are Adaptive Swim Whisperers certified by Swim Angelfish.  Due to limited pool space and the individualized nature of Adaptive Swim Lessons, participants will be assigned to a lesson time and pool location based on the results of their swim assessment and instructional needs. Some participants may be placed in the lap pool, while others may be assigned to the dive pool, depending on factors such as water depth, skill level, safety needs, and lesson goals. During registration, you will be asked to provide your preferred lesson days and times. Every effort will be made to accommodate these preferences; however, specific lesson assignments cannot be guaranteed. Final placement decisions will be based on participant needs, instructor availability, and pool space. Participants will be notified of their assigned lesson day and time 2 weeks before the session begins. Please note that we do provide inclusion services in our leveled group lessons for participants who would be successful in a small group setting with individualized supports and staff built in. A swim membership is required in order to register for swim lessons. Schedule:  Session 1: July 6th - July 23rd Monday & Wednesday  3:45 - 4:30 pm  4:45 - 5:30 pm  Tuesday & Thursday  3:45 - 4:30 pm  4:45 - 5:30 pm Session 2: July 27th - August 14th  Monday & Wednesday  3:45 - 4:30 pm  4:45 - 5:30 pm  Tuesday & Thursday  3:45 - 4:30 pm  4:45 - 5:30 pm Ages:  Ages 4-11 Eligibility Requirements:  Must be able to demonstrate a safe body by avoiding behaviors that may cause harm to themselves, instructors, or others (e.g., hitting, kicking, biting, throwing objects, or unsafe elopement). Be able to maintain independent breathing without the use of medical respiratory equipment in the pool. Follow basic safety directions with verbal, visual, physical, or other appropriate supports

3:45 PM - 5:30 PM    Swim Lessons - Adaptive - Session 2: July 27th - August 13th
